These works explore the transition from photographic reality to painted unreality. Beginning with a captured image, I use paint to redefine its concept of ‘real,’ resulting in an artistic intervention. This process, where the abstract vision transforms the real, culminates in the imaginary becoming tangible. My goal was to unite painting and cyanotype, creating a seamless blend between the real and unreal.
The cyanotypes, evolving beyond simple blue images, challenge traditional object representation.
With these art pieces I want to continue to use the same process that I have been using for the past years; taking a “real” object and then transforming its background with my abstract vision (unreal). Then, at certain moment in this process, the imaginary becomes real.
