Inspire by textile design

Creating potential combinations of new compositions from my previous paint testing and sketches. I like to save all my experimentations and keep it in my sketchbook for future references. Seeing all my colors testing experimentations juxtaposed next to each other gave me the idea of mixing them and create different compositions.
My inspiration came from textile design because of their combinations of color, patterns, clear lines, shapes, stripes, symmetry and asymmetry. Textile designers are very artistic in creating unique patterns and prints. It is so creative and it really motivates me to make these colorful designs.

Putting all of them together allow me to see how to organize all the pieces.

I am not using any pattern or textile in these designs. Instead, I am using just my colors testing and some sketches from my previous paintings. I am contrasting different elements in each design and balancing by adding solid colors. I overlap or draw flora to some of the concepts and I play with the shape and texture. These are unusual juxtapositions.

It was such a great idea to do this. It really helped me to see new color and texture combinations and, the most important, I had a lot of fun. Sure I will continue doing this with my next paint experimentations. I hope it inspires you and you enjoy it.
